First Year Student Writers
Next year, a new series, “Days of Our Lives” (yes, haha), will launch here at SotN. In this feature, we’ll follow the lives of a few new first and second year students as they navigate the dangerous waters of university. Ok, ok. TV voice aside, if you’re a student heading into university and is interested in blogging a couple of times each months about your life in post secondary education, this is the perfect position for you.
This position requires approximately 2 articles a months (negotiable) and you are not expected to produce in-depth blogs around exam times. What’s in it for you? An audience to share your experiences with, something to add to your resume, and if you’re a student, academic coaching throughout your academic career (ask me about academic coaching if you’re not familiar with it). Furthermore, you’re helping other first year students by showing them that they are not alone in their struggles to adjust to and excel at university.
